Strategic Planning

We value the future of our church, and we are committed to building a sustainable and strategic
ministry that is going to have a deep impact. That’s why we are developing a game plan
together. We have invited Ministry Architects to lead us through intentional strategic planning in 2024, especially as we anticipate the departure of Deacon Heidi Cryer in November.

The first step was to have a virtual church-wide mini-assessment, consisting of 4-6 listening groups to help our consultant, Sean, to have a clear picture of our congregation. Sean wrote a summary report based on his learnings, including church-wide norms (how we compare to other congregations), our assets and strengths, our challenges and obstacles to moving forward, and recommendations. You can read that report here:

The second step was a Vision Summit that resulted in a mission statement, core values, and three-year goals with one-year benchmarks.

The Vision Implementation Team will champion the implementation of the new mission, values, and long-term goals.

Ministry Architects will also help us develop a strategic staffing plan including a staffing needs assessment, an organizational chart, two to three staffing model options, and job descriptions.

If you have questions about this process, please contact Pastor Kirsten.
