Study Groups

Monday Morning Bible Study

This group meets at 10:30 a.m. on Zoom to read and discuss the scripture texts for the coming Sunday. Our Sunday readings follow the Narrative Lectionary (a 4-year rotation), and every Sunday focuses on one main reading with one optional. In this Bible Study, we read both. Pastor Kirsten leads this group and it helps her sermon preparation. And it helps everyone prepare for worship and hear a better sermon!

Monday Night Bible Study

We continue to meet for an hour on Mondays at 7 p.m. on Zoom. We are currently studying The Parables of Jesus which will last until about Thanksgiving. If you are looking for a new group to join and are interested in reconnecting with others in your faith journey, you are welcome!

Search, Explore, Discover

Our book study group meets the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays by Zoom at 6:30 pm. The book chosen for study is John Dominic Crossan’s “Render Unto Caesar”: the Struggle Over Christ & Culture in the New Testament. Participants purchase their own books.

Care and Share Group

The meetings start with an inspirational message. Most of the meeting is comprised of varied discussions and prayer concerns. The meeting ends with prayer.

Balanced Life

The Balanced Life group emphasizes whole-person wellness with our faith as the compass. It asks the question of how to offer support as we cope with trying to find balance during unbalance times. Tentatively, we will meet the 1st & 3rd Thursdays 2:00-3:00 pm in Grace Place. You do not have to be a former member to participate! Everyone is welcome!

Girlfriends Group

This group serves a niche for younger women and moms of school-aged children or younger. In the past we’ve met on Zoom on the last Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. Last year we read No Cure For Being Human by Kate Bowler. We have yet to decide on this year’s book and confirm our meeting time.
